If you’re an endless internet scroller like I am then you may have noticed that some years ago I began a painting of the iconic Frida Kahlo while at a SCBWI north Texas chapter event.
Well I’m no longer in Texas and have not attended an event by the New England chapter of SCBWI but I AM still just as enthralled with Frida’s significance and unapologetic beauty.
Here’s a quick study in alcohol based marker and coloured pencil as I’ve been skewing to the illustration side lately with two books in the early stages of development!
consider as you wish but it certainly was fun to layer and blend semi controllably in an effort to catch colour and style on paper.
